Proclamation and Ministry Statement
Why a Proclamation?
We believe renewal begins with the people of God.
The Proclamation is a declaration that America’s great success was founded in faith, but that it has turned away from God, that we are living in the chaos of what happens when people turn away from God, and that the way back is through humility and repentance. Further, by signing the proclamation, Christians support the work of the ministry and commit to taking up the work in their own life.
This is not a political statement. It is a spiritual commitment.
Proclamation and Ministry Statement
Jesus warned that when a house is swept clean - when God is removed from a person or a nation - evil spirits will return in greater number, and the last state becomes worse than the first (Matthew 12:43-45).
America was founded upon faith in God and was richly blessed for it. For generations we honored Him in our homes, our laws, our schools, and our public life, and He granted us remarkable freedom, prosperity, and influence. But in recent decades we have increasingly turned away from God. We have swept Him from the public square, from our institutions, and from many hearts. In doing so, we have opened the door to Satan and every kind of evil. And now, hatred, discord, anger, division, violence, and moral confusion pervade our land - exactly as Scripture warns when a people forsake their God.
There is only one way back.
God has given us a clear promise and prescription:
“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
This promise is first for the Church - the Body of Christ. We must lead the way in humility, repentance, and prayer. Then, as God heals us, we are called to reach out gently to those who oppose Him, “instructing them with gentleness in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.” (2 Timothy 2:25-26)
This is not a political movement. It is a spiritual work of love and obedience - standing up boldly for God, yet with gentleness and respect, turning hearts back to God before it is too late.
Therefore, we make this solemn proclamation:
We commit, before God, to take up the work of healing America. To humble ourselves, pray and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways. We commit to the spiritual work of calling hearts back to God - beginning in our own lives, families and churches, and extending to our nation. We commit to gentle, truthful witness to those who do not yet know Him, trusting the Holy Spirit to grant repentance. We believe God can still heal our land if His people will return to Him.
